What we collect
Only what you type into the form: role, experience, state, setting, practice type, species, ownership, employment type, and your pay figures. No name, no email, no clinic name, no account. Submission is anonymous.
How your entry is shown
An individual entry is only ever displayed when at least 5 people match the same role and location, so no single entry can be singled out. Location is shown at the state level only. Student-debt answers are shown only as aggregates, never as your individual number. Board specialty is shown only as a label and is never used to filter results (that combination could be identifying in a small state).
The “anything else” box
The optional free-text field is collected only to help us improve the form. It is never shown publicly. Please don't put anything identifying in it.
Abuse prevention
To stop spam and duplicate submissions we store a one-way hashed fingerprint of your IP address and browser (salted, so it can't be reversed to an IP). It is used only for rate-limiting and deduplication and is never displayed.
Data sources
Some seed data comes from community salary surveys shared with us, with the authors' permission and attribution. Aggregate benchmarks may reference public sources such as BLS.
Deletion
Entries are anonymous, so we can't look yours up by name. If you can identify your submission (for example by the details and date), contact us and we'll remove it.
